Holding Palestinian flags and carrying anti-Israel banners, the International Jewish Anti-Zionist Organization, known as Neturei Karta, protested outside the UN headquarters in New York on Monday against Israel's expansion of settlements in the occupied Palestinian territories.
Earlier this month, Israel authorised a plan to build 10,000 new settlement homes in the West Bank, and gave retrospective authorisation to nine settler outposts which previously were considered illegal under Israeli law.
The UN Security Council unanimously denounced Israel’s planned expansion of settlements in the occupied West Bank, which under international law are considered illegal.
