Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visits regions devastated by earthquake

Turkey’s President Recep Tayyip Erdogan visited the earthquake-devastated regions of southern Turkey on Wednesday as the death toll rose above 11,000. He delivered a speech in which he promised new housing within a year for those left homeless in affected provinces.

Erdogan acknowledged that his government faced early problems in getting aid to victims, but said it is now on track.
